Sunday 23 November
Arrive in Kyoto after a transfer from Osaka’s Kansai Airport, with free time to explore the shops and restaurants near the hotel.
Monday 24 November
Full-day private tour of Kyoto’s key temples, gardens, and castles, followed by dinner and an evening stroll through historic Gion.
Tuesday 25 November
Visit Arashiyama and the Sagano Bamboo Forest, enjoy a Hozugawa River boat ride, and explore Fushimi Inari Shrine’s 5000 torii gates.
Wednesday 26 November
Free day in Kyoto with optional visits to the Philosopher’s Walk, Nishiki Market, or a day trip to Nara’s temples and sacred deer park.
Thursday 27 November
Travel by Shinkansen to Hiroshima, visit the Peace Park, Atomic Bomb Dome, and Museum, and dine on Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki.
Friday 28 November
Ferry to Miyajima Island to explore Itsukushima Shrine, the giant torii gate, autumn foliage in Momijidani Park, and Mt Misen.
Saturday 29 November
Travel by Shinkansen to Tokyo, arriving in Shinjuku with time to explore the bustling district.
Sunday 30 November
Morning Tokyo city tour including the Imperial Palace Gardens, Senso-ji Temple, and Nakamise Street, followed by a Sumida River cruise.
Monday 1 December
Stroll through Yanaka village and Ueno Park, with shopping and cultural stops, ending with a group dinner.
Tuesday 2 December
Free day in Tokyo for independent sightseeing, shopping, and gallery visits.
Wednesday 3 December
Visit Meiji Shrine, Takeshita-dori, Harakado, and Shibuya Crossing, with time to shop and a group dinner included.
Thursday 4 December
Day trip to the Fuji Five Lakes area and Chureito Pagoda for views of Mt Fuji (weather permitting).
Friday 5 December
Explore Nihonbashi district, Tokyo Station, and its surrounding shopping and dining streets.
Saturday 6 December
Morning at leisure with options to visit Shinjuku Gyoen Garden or shop, followed by a farewell lunch at the Park Hyatt and a visit to Ginza.
Sunday 7 December
Departure day with included airport transfers.
